Seniors Share a Holiday Meal

Mayor Toni Iseman and City Manager John Pietig attended last year’s festivities.

Laguna Beach seniors invite fellow senior citizens to dine and celebrate the holidays with them at their annual luncheon, to take place Monday, Dec. 12 from 11:30 to 2 p.m.
A turkey feast will be served and holiday entertainment will be provided at a cost of $30 per person.
To attend, please make reservations 497-2441 ext. 205 or email [email protected]. Tickets may be purchased at the Susi Q Center or by sending a check L.B. Seniors at 380 Third Street. Reservations must be paid by Dec. 7.

Brunch Honors Clinic Supporters

Over 40 major donors and dedicated supporters were honored at the Laguna Beach Community Clinic’s annual benefactor’s brunch held at the Bluebird canyon home of Dr. Nick and Kiki Davis on Sunday, Nov. 13.

The following individuals received recognition:

Benefactors of the year, Debbie and Jeff Mulligan who have for many years been generous givers though the provision of matching grants and in-kind contributions; volunteer of the year, Dr. Frank Andersen who volunteers with the treatment of urology patients and creating the clinic’s newsletter, Caring Connections; and legacy donors, George Heed and Martin Conlon who launched the the clinic’s endowment fund with a bequest of $250,000.

Growing Green Initiative at Aliso

The Aliso Creek Inn & Golf Course will be adding a new potager garden that will be used to grow vegetables and herbs for use in its kitchen beginning next spring..

The six new raised garden planters is one of several green initiatives including a bee-hive that was installed earlier this year and is beginning to produce local wildflower honey.
