Breakers ran at the Clovis Invitational state meet held at Woodward Park last Saturday, Oct. 7. Ryan Smithers was Laguna’s top boys runner with a 16:17.3 mark on the three-mile course finishing 23rd overall. Zach Falkowski finished 35th, followed by Jaden Orr (59), Sebastian Fisher (63), and Mateo Bianchi (75). Breakers finished seventh in the team standings with Sir Francis Drake from Marin County taking the team title. Breakers finished ahead of Servite, Esperanza, Laguna Hills, and Corona del Mar among the Orange County squads.

Laguna girls finished second to Bishop Amat out of 31 teams with Evie Cant coming in second with a time of 18:24.7. Also scoring for the Breakers were Jessie Rose (26), Sidney Shaeffgen (46), Hannah Konkel (53), and Sierra Reed (56).
