Laguna tested the CIF section course participating in the Riverside Invitational this past Saturday. The Boys were 14th overall with Ryan Smithers, Zachary Falkowsky, Luc LaMontagne, Jaden Orr, and Mateo Bianchi scoring for the Breakers. The Girls were first overall led by Jessie Rose, Kaitlin Ryan, Grace LaMontagne, Sierra Reed and Angelina Dymaes.
Up next are the league finals on October 30 with the section prelims on November 11 and the finals on November 18. Only the top 24 teams advance from the CIF prelims into the finals. Divisions are still based on enrollment with Laguna in D4 (enrollment 601-1429). The top seven teams will then advance to the State meet on November 25 in Fresno.
