To top off their regular season, Laguna Beach’s AYSO girls U12 team Laguna Blues advanced to the semifinal match of the AYSO South Orange County tournament of champions.

In the regular season with matches played against Aliso Viejo and Laguna Niguel, the Laguna Blues were the only team to defeat the top finishing Aliso Viejo team Red Vines. In the regional tournament the Blues finished as runner up to the Galaxy Girls. A wild card berth allowed the Blues to join the Galaxy Girls in representing Laguna Beach at the area tournament of champions.

In the thrilling tournament semifinal match, the Blues scored two goals to Mission Viejo’s three. The Blues will compete in AYSO’s spring select program
