The Laguna Canyon Riders will participate in the 5 p.m. Tuesday, June 23, Over the Hump race at Irvine Lake and invites newcomers to their Saturday Ride Day, which begins at 8:30 a.m. in the Big Bend parking lot.

The riders promote hiking and mountain biking while aiding in the protection and preservation of local parks and open space, local Laguna cyclist Michael Hall says on the group’s Facebook page.

The group started a National Interscholastic Cycling Association program at Thurston Middle School.
