El Morro students who met their goal in Scholastic Reading Counts got a chance to dunk their principal, Chris Duddy, in a dunk tank last week. Afterwards they were treated to an orange juice bar.
El Morro students read 132 million words during the school year. Three students accumulated over 600 points: fifth grader Kate Gilles, fourth grader Kyle Herkins and second grader William Coffey!
The program encourages and fosters independent reading and is coordinated by teacher Cama Stevens.
