June activities in the Aliso and Wood Canyons Wilderness Park include a variety of hikes and exploratory events that will expand knowledge and appreciation of the flora and fauna of the 20,000 acre wilderness area.
On Sunday, June 5, there will be a 2.4-mile edible and useful plant hike from 8-11 a.m. over mild but steep terrain with Laguna Canyon volunteer naturalists, open to ages 12 and up.
On Wednesday June 8, there will be a yoga hike, designed to stretch your mind and body over steep terrain on a 2.5-mile hike for ages 12 and up, from 8:30-10:30 a.m.
On Thursday June 10, from 9 a.m. to noon, there will be a five-mile discovery hike to explore the Wood canyon and its wildlife.
All hikes will be at Aliso & Wood Canyons Wilderness Park, Canyon View Staging Area, Gate 7 and require a $2 donation per person and reservations to be made in advance at 949-923-2235.
