Laguna Beach’s community radio station KX 93.5 will broadcast the high school’s boys’ basketball home games with live commentary, beginning Friday, Jan. 17, according to Program Director Tyler Russell. This is the second season KX 93.5 has broadcast LBHS sports.

The commentary will be provided by LBHS senior Barrett Thornton and longtime Laguna Beach resident Dustin Mudd. Support for the broadcasts comes from Tuttle Click Automotive Group.

“I’m very excited to be bringing KX 93.5 courtside,” said Thornton. “We have a very athletic and senior-led team this year; it has the potential to be one of the best in recent history.”

The broadcast will only be available online, so regular FM programming isn’t interrupted, said Russell. Listeners can visit www.KX935.com on their computers or smartphones and click “sports stream” on the home page a few minutes before each game starts.

The first broadcast, LBHS vs. Estancia, will begin at 7 p.m. this Friday. For the full schedule, visit www.KX935.com/basketball.
