Breakers advanced to the quarterfinals with a 2-1 victory over Eastside in Lancaster this past Tuesday, Feb. 20. Emerson McCune and Reilyn Turner scored for the Breakers while the host Lions (18-5) scored their lone goal late in the contest. Laguna advances for the quarterfinals for the third time in the past four seasons when they travel to Menifee this Friday, Feb. 23, to face No. 1 Paloma Valley.
Breakers took care of business in their opening playoff match on Thursday, Feb. 15, as Laguna blasted Crean Lutheran 4-0 with Turner scoring a three-goal hat-trick against the Saints (11-10-1). Haylee Jarvis also scored as Laguna advanced to the round of 16 played this week.
