Breakers Hold off Tars for Win
The 44th season for Laguna boys volleyball got underway this past Tuesday at Newport Harbor where the shorthanded Breakers held off Newport Harbor 25-21, 25-21, 20-25, 19-25, 15-10.
Dane Olson led the squad with 18 kills while Pete Obradovich added 17, Tyler Alter 12 and Nick Reickhoff 7. Isaac Wulff dished out 50 assists and teamed with Tyler Alter for three blocks. Cole Paxson led on defense with 13 digs. Breakers travel to San Clemente on Tuesday and open at home on Thursday, March 12 with Santa Margarita.
Laguna’s JV and frosh-soph teams were also victorious at Newport.
