The shops on South Coast Highway, between Thalia Street and Bluebird Canyon Drive, banded together several years ago to form the Hip District, also referred to by some shop owners and locals as “The Cool Part of Town.” Tourists and locals have slowly discovered the area, which gets more popular every year.
In order to acknowledge the community’s support, the merchants in the Hip District are presenting “Old School Laguna Day,” which will take place on March 30, from 12-6 p.m. The event will include live music, special sales and giveaways throughout the day. Most importantly, the old school character of Laguna will be celebrated—think classic rock, surf boards, turntables, pictures, posters and vintage vibes from Laguna’s past.
