On Thursday, April 11, the Laguna Beach Exchange Club will be hosting the Biennial Police Awards Banquet. This ceremony honors Police Department employees for their acts of bravery, lifesaving efforts, and meritorious service during years 2017 and 2018.
The luncheon culminates with the recognition of the Police Officer and Professional Employee of the Year Awards as follows. For 2017, Officer of the Year is David Gensemer, and Professional Employee of the Year is Kristen Berry. For 2018, Officer of the Year is Mike Short and Professional Employee of the Year is Jordan Villwock.
All members of the public are invited to attend the event, which will take place at 11 a.m. at the Seven-Degrees reception venue, 891 Laguna Canyon Road.
