Surf and Sand Resort Preps for Summer

Surf and Sand Resort is readying for the Independence Day holiday with July 2-5 wine nights, kid’s camp, massages and a BBQ with a viewing of the fireworks.

The resort is also featuring an updated summer menu with new options; a paella party on Monday, chef tasting menus on Tuesday and Wednesday, a raw bar on Saturday, and street tacos on Sunday at the outdoor bar, 1555.

Guest activities all summer long include fitness classes, paddle boarding, kid’s crafts, movie nights and pool parties.

New Menu Hits the Deck

Chef Ranier Schwarz will offer a new menu for lunch or dinner at The Deck, 627 Sleepy Hollow Lane, which includes Scottish smoked salmon, tuna poke or Mary’s chicken with potato and cauliflower puree.

Alaskan halibut and yellowfin tuna are also on the new menu, Rainer said.

Las Brisas Plumps its Profile

The sounds of summer can be heard at Las Brisas, 361 Cliff Dr. on Wednesday nights when local favorite Nick I plays reggae rock from 5-9 p.m. Proceeds from the Whale Tail margarita will benefit the Wyland Foundation.

Friday nights Emilio Modern Gypsy entertains with his Spanish flamenco guitar from 8 -11 p.m. Handcrafted sangrias will be served in Las Brisas’ new lounge area.

On Sundays a four-course, full-service brunch includes complimentary champagne and authentic Mexican pastries baked on site. The menu offers omelets, fresh seafood, salads, desserts and a new wine list along with specialty cocktails. Adults, $45, kids, $16.
