The Laguna Beach Patriots Day Parade has chosen 40-year resident Robert R. Mosier as its “Honored Patriot of the Year” for the 2014 parade.
As an Army Air Corp pilot he flew the first troops into Tokyo after the Japanese surrender in World War II. After settling in Laguna with his wife, Beverly, he became an engineer and community volunteer.
The public is invited to the Honorees Fundraiser Brunch, held Feb. 2 at Tivoli Terrace from 11:15 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. RSVP to Sandi Werthe at [email protected], 949 494-6016 or lagunabeachpaade.org. The parade is supported in part by proceeds from the brunch.
