Baseball players completed their best post-season run in 76 seasons for the sport at Laguna Beach High School and were rewarded with three all-CIF selections.

Grant Wilhelm and Preston Grand Pre were first team selections while Richie Nunis was named to the second team.
Wilhelm and Grand Pre’s selection were only the fourth and fifth first team honorees in the program’s history.
Breakers went 27-3 to tie the school record for success in a season and the squad advanced to the Division 4 semifinals before losing in extra innings to eventual champion Torrance.
In boys volleyball, Noah Blanton (middle blocker), Jack Wyett (outside hitter) and John-Paul Wollam (libero) were selected to the 12-player Division 2 all-CIF squad. This year’s additions bring the total Laguna players earning the honor to 66 since Bill Christiansen became the first selection in 1973.

The 2014 Breakers went 27-6 capturing their 28th league title before losing to defending champion Esperanza in a five set thriller during the Southern Section CIF section finals.
Laguna finished their season capturing a record fourth state CIF regional title on May 31. In the final polls, Laguna finished No. 10 in the Cal-High State Poll, No. 8 for Southern California, and fourth in Orange County.
