Editor,
The city has filed its “vigorous defense” to the ACLU lawsuit.
They admit that federal funds are used yet a local residency requirement is in force.
Homeless are not a protected class! (Animals are a protected class in Laguna Beach!)
Some citations did not occur! (Must have been forged in PhotoShop!)
They also state they lack information any plaintiff has any mental or physical disabilities! (Apparently, they never visited Laguna Beach and looked!)
(They make no mention that homeless people have nowhere to sleep when the shelter is full!)
There is no city policy harming homeless people. (Lets wake you up at 3 a.m. in the shelter parking lot in 40-degree weather!)
