While students anticipate the leisure days of summer in June, the school district’s facilities department gears up for its busiest time.
When students return next week, their handiwork will be in evidence, said the district’s construction director Ted Doughty, Jr.
These include water-saving irrigation repairs and improvements at all four school sites, athletic field improvements and a more even playing surface, and refinishing the Thurston Middle School gymnasium floor.
