Laguna Beach Seniors is undertaking a three-year strategic plan to expand programming through the Susi Q with the aim of making the facility on Third Street a hub for services that reach into the community.

As the center is nearing its capacity serving 6,000 people a quarter, board President Tina Haines’s new goal is helping locals age in place.

“We know that if we can keep people in their homes, they will age more happily and stay connected to the community,” said Haines, describing the initiative as the agency’s most ambitious undertaking since the fundraising campaign to build the Susi Q Senior Center. “This is a pivotal point in our history. We are committed to a transformation that will take us beyond the walls of the Susi Q,” she added.
