A group of local college students arrived in Southampton, England, last weekend to board the MV Explorer for a 66-day semester at sea this summer.
Their first port will be Casablanca, Morocco, followed by Turkey, Malta, Greece, Italy, France, Spain and Portugal.
While at sea, the 550 students from 300 universities attend University of Virginia sponsored classes. At each port, they typically enjoy five days to travel and soak up the culture.
