After a big week against Estancia, the Breakers saw their playoff hopes dim as they dropped two key games in league play. On Wednesday, May 2, they team lost to Godinez (17-4, 8-0) 18-1 and on Friday, May 4, they suffered a 16-4 loss at Costa Mesa (16-7, 4-4) in the showdown for third place. Breakers took care of Saddleback on Monday, May 7, with a 16-2 win over the Roadrunners (0-20, 0-9) to conclude the regular season in fourth place but it appears no at-large spots will be available in the SS CIF D7 playoffs.
