Girls began league play this past week facing off at TeWinkle Park with Calvary Chapel (2-5) on Wednesday, April 12, and Friday, April 14, at Godinez (9-5). The squad appears strong enough to compete for a playoff spot this season after struggling the past three seasons.
Next week the girls will be skipping spring break with a pair of league games at Costa Mesa on Wednesday, April 19, and home on Friday, April 21, hosting Saddleback at 4 p.m. at the Thurston field.
