Laguna started the 10-game league portion of the schedule facing the two toughest opponents. On Wednesday, April 11, they dropped an 11-4 game to Calvary Chapel in a contest played at Thurston Middle School.
Rhys Campbell hit a solo home run in the sixth inning for Laguna. On Thursday, April 12, they lost 16-0 to league favorite Godinez (12-4, 3-0).
Breakers will gauge their playoff chances this past week as they host Costa Mesa and traveled to Saddleback. Should they get past the Mustangs and Roadrunners, the big test will be on Wednesday, April 25, at Thurston when they host Estancia (11-4, 2-1).
