Pedestrian stop. 20600 block of Laguna Canyon Rd. Debra Mexin, 50, of Laguna Beach, was arrested for suspicion of heroin possession after officers observed her stashing a purse in bushes. Two heroin-filled syringes were found in the purse, Sgt. Louie Callus said. Bail was set at $20,000.
Vehicle burglary. 600 block N. Coast hwy. 7:46 p.m. Someone broke in a car and stole $1,000 worth of electronic gear.
Wednesday, Oct. 3
Speed race. 1 a.m. A 44-year-old Newport Coast resident was arrested for DUI and held for $2500.
Traffic stop. Wilson St. 1:54 a.m. A 33-year-old Laguna Beach man was cited for DUI and held for $2500 bail.
Vandalism. 8:23 a.m. 600 block of Park Ave. Seven art boards valued at $210 were damaged.
Traffic collision. Catalina. 10:16 a.m. Three cars involved but minor damage and non injuries.
Traffic stop. Coast Hwy. 9:46 p.m. A 25-year-old Irvine woman was cited for DUI and held for $2500 bail.
Thursday, Oct. 4
Traffic stop. Laguna Ave. 2:34 a.m. A 22-year-old Aliso Viejo man was cited for DUI and held for $2500 bail.
Vandalism. 8 a.m. 30800 block of Coast Hwy. Four tires were slashed. An ex boy friend is suspected
Friday, Oct. 5
Burglary. 9:39 a.m. 2800 block Laguna Canyon Rd. Casey McFarland, 31, of  Huntington Beach was arrested for outstanding DUI and vehicle code warrants. Bail was set at $15,000.
Traffic collision. El Toro Rd. 5:29 p.m. An outbound bicyclist that witnesses said failed to stop at a red light at the toll road was struck by a vehicle proceeding through the intersection. The cyclist suffered a minor leg injury.
Traffic stop. 7:48 p.m. S. Coast Hwy. After witnesses reported a vehicle weaving, Jacquelyn Tina Matheis, 57, of Huntington Beach was arrested for suspicion of DUI. She was held for $10,000 bail due to a prior conviction.
Traffic stop. 2200 block of Laguna Canyon Rd. 11:14 p.m. A 26-year-old Lake Forest man was cited for DUI and held for $2500 bail.
Saturday, Oct. 6
Traffic stop. West St. 1:45 a.m. A 38-year-old Laguna Beach man was cited for DUI and held for $2500 bail.
Indecent exposure. 1:41 p.m. 10th and Virginia Way. Police say they will follow up with a man who was questioned but not detained after receiving a report about a man exposing himself. Police say initially the victim did not want to press charges, but changed her mind.
Traffic collision.. 2:07 p.m. 2200 Laguna Canyon Rd. A 56-year-old San Juan Capistrano motorcyclist that had stopped for pedestrians was rear-ended by vehicle driven by an older driver. He was disoriented and transported for medical treatment after complaining of back and neck pain.
Traffic collision. 3:28 p.m. N. Coast Hwy. Traffic was impacted for an hour due to a lane closure as a result of a vehicle that was rear-ended after stopping for pedestrians. The driver was transported for treatment of head and neck pain.
Sunday, Oct. 7
Suspicious person. 20600 Laguna Canyon Rd. 7:35 p.m. Matthew B. Farrell, 28, of Dana Point was arrested for suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon and making threats after menacing a motorcyclist with a steel pole and later making a verbal threat against his life. Bail was set at $50,000.
Traffic stop. Montage. 11:08 p.m. A 37-year-old Laguna Beach man was cited for DUI and held for $2500 bail.
Lifeguard rescue. Cliff Dr. 7:38 a.m. N. end of Heisler, Divers Cove. Subject in surf line with knee injury. Tossed around with tank on.
Traffic collision. 200 blk of forest Ave. 8 p.m. A motorcyclist collided with a parked car.
