The Rotary Club of Laguna Beach selected a logo created by Laguna College of Art + Design graphic design major Charlene Chand that will represent the seventh Grapes for Grads event, on Sunday, April 29.
The scholarship fundraiser with samples from 80 wineries benefit students enrolled at the art college and local high school. “I can’t wait to see my work applied to t-shirts and banners,” Chand said. “It’s great that they’re giving back to the Laguna Beach community and I’m happy to be a part of it.”
Each year a student artist creates the event logo, providing students an opportunity to compete for work and to build their portfolio in preparation for the real world, said committee member Stephen Dotoratos.
