A town hall meeting to promote healthy eating by teens was held at The Boys and Girls Club recently.
Sponsor Mission Hospital provided information about new dietary guidelines. Anthem Blue Cross praised the club’s teen leaders for its “teen cuisine,” a weekly culinary arts program where members plan and prepare nutritious meals at club.
Teen panelists held a question and answer session and then offered a taco bar with healthy options for dinner. Parents and teens learned tips for adding more fresh, healthy food to their diets.
