Several members of the Laguna Beach High School surf team members were standouts at Salt Creek this past Tuesday against Dana Hills.

The surf was pumping with four to five foot waves, but the team came up with some noteworthy performances.

Sophomore Dante Madrigal looked very sharp, getting both a good right and an even better left in his heat and despite coming in early still managed to finish in second place.

Anika Pitz was the lone girl standout for Laguna, making a nice right to secure second place in shortboard.

In longboard, Wesley Eagleton worked hard from the start, riding several waves, throwing in some nose rides and staying busy to finish second.

Other performances were put in by freshmen Jeremy Shutts, who finished third; team mates Jakob Herbert and Noah North, with fourth-place finishes; and bodyboarder Dylan Schreyer, also taking fourth.
