Award-winning Christopher Cross will perform in concert Saturday, Aug. 25, at Laguna Beach’s Festival of Arts and Marcia Gay Harden will also pull the winning raffle ticket at 8:15 p.m. for a $50,000 2013 Acura.
The evening’s festivities begin at 5 p.m. when attending celebrities will walk the red carpet at the Festival of Arts’ entrance, including Barry Bostwick, David Chokachi, Seamus Dever, Joely Fisher, Kate Flannery, Jennifer Hall, Robert David Hall, Richard Karn, Cloris Leachman, Jerry Mathers, Donna Mills, Connie Stevens and Patrick Warburton, among others.
At 6 p.m., guests will be treated to a performance by Cross, who set a record for winning five awards at the Grammy’s in 1981 and has scored a number of Top 20 hits and won an Academy Award.
Tickets will continue to be sold ($5 for one ticket, $20 for five tickets – the winning ticketholder need not be present to win) until the drawing. The funds raised will benefit the Festival of Arts programming and a fund for renovations. Following the raffle, the evening will conclude with a performance of the Pageant of the Masters production “The Genius.”
“It’s the most anticipated night of the season,” said Sharbie Higuchi, the festival’s marketing director.
