On April 13, 2016, we lost our beloved chow chow, Yogi Bear. He was not just our “only child,” but he was also our best friend and protector. Almost everyone living in North Laguna Beach knew Yogi as he was frequently seen being walked or sitting in the passenger seat of our bright orange Lido golf cart, driven by his mom, Terri Weldon.

Yogi was a special dog in that fact he was one of the very few chows that didn’t have a mean bone in his body. His pedigree was as impressive as his demeanor. He came from a long line of champions including his uncle, MoJazz (from top breeder, Imagine Chows), who was voted supreme chow for two years in a row, won multi best in show and was the winner of 16 specialties amongst many other awards during his lifetime.

Yogi was truly one of a kind and we will miss him dearly.

We also want to acknowledge and thank Dr. Jim Levin and his team at Laguna Beach Animal Hospital for their caring, compassion and professionalism in the their care of Yogi since he was just a puppy. They always treated us and Yogi as family members. We love you guys and will never forget all you did for us and our precious little Yogi Bear.
