Local Recognized as Featured Artist
Laguna Beach artist Fitz Maurice will be recognized by Chapman University, where her Berlin wall exhibition commences at 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 27.
University President James Doti will introduce Maurice’s “Berlin: Metamorphosis Collection” in the Great Room of the Argyros Forum, where a screening of the film “Westwind” by Robert Thailheim will be presented along with German food and music.

New Shapes at Pacific Edge
“Shape” at Pacific Edge Gallery opens Sunday, Oct. 15, with a reception from 6 to 9 p.m. at 540 South Coast Highway #112 to celebrate artist Brenda K. Bredvik’s next show.
The exhibit marks her new vision for capturing the natural world. The show will be featured until Nov. 4.
Artist Eye Gallery Features Bulgaria Artist
Artist Eye Laguna Gallery will feature works by Bulgaria-born artist Ivailo Boliarov in October and hosts a reception for him at 1294-A So. Coast Highway from 6 – 9 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 15.
Boliarov favors landscapes and seascapes in oils and also uses drypoint engraved zinc and copper plates to produce intaglio prints, a style used by classic painters.
Boliarov, 39, is a member of the Union of The Bulgarian Artists and lives in Huntington Beach,Firebrand Media LLC wants comments that advance the discussion, and we need your help to accomplish this mission.
