
Walls’ Photos Earn Awards
Images by photographer Cheyne Walls received multiple awards in three international competitions.
His award-winning artwork of Yosemite National Park, Death Valley, and Los Angeles will be on display during a special reception with the artist Saturday, Nov. 1, from 11 a.m.-3 p.m., 3251 Laguna Canyon Road, H-5, part of the city’s Open Artist Studios tours.
Artists Vie for Product Placement, Too.

Hollywood film production-designer Nelson Coates will describe how art is used in films and sets and how artists can submit their work for use in productions during a 4-6 p.m. salon talk Sunday, Oct. 26, sponsored by Laguna Outreach for Community Arts.

Gallery Q Adopts Art and Nature Theme

Gallery Q at the Susi Q Center, 380 Third St., opens its Art and Nature-The Inner Soul, as part of the museum’s Art & Nature festival, Nov. 6-9.
Gallery Q will show 65 works by artists from Laguna Beach, the Boys and Girls Club, Laguna College of Art and Design and Irvine Valley College.
The exhibition is open through Dec.10.
Design Center Hosts Fitz Maurice Show
A solo show featuring the work of Laguna Beach artist Fitz Maurice opens with a 4 to 7 p.m. reception Friday, Oct. 24 at the Roberto Pellecchia Design Studio, located in the Laguna Design Center, 23811 Aliso Creek Road, Laguna Niguel.

The 50-work show will include a new series of abstract paintings.
