Derek Cressman, a candidate for Secretary of State and author of “The Recall’s Broken Promise: How Big Money Still Runs California Politics,” arrives in Laguna Beach on Friday, April 25.

Cressman, a former vice president of Common Cause, worked on election reform and crafted ballot measures in California, Colorado and Montana that instructed Congress to pass a constitutional amendment to establish that unlimited campaign spending is not free speech.
