Breakers snagged the 2017 league title with a 191-208 victory over Estancia on Wednesday, April 26, at Aliso Viejo County Club. Ben Sharp and Dante Fornaro led the teams with a par 35 round. Chase Gioffredi shot 39, Jameson Roller, Gus Morck and Kyle Sharp all shot 41 for Laguna’s best round at this course in a number of years. Breakers and Estancia were co-champions in 2008 and 2009, Breakers jointly held the title with Calvary in 2010, and holds solo crowns now for the third straight season. This past week were the league individual finals with the top four players advancing to the SS CIF individual regional qualifiers to be held on Monday, May 8.
