The resurging Laguna Beach boys golf program continues to improve as the Breakers shot a 210 to defeat Calvary Chapel on Thursday, March 9, on the back 9 (Par 37) at Aliso Viejo. Laguna scores: Benjamin Sharp – 37 (medalist), Dante Fornaro – 38, Kyle Sharpe – 41, Chase Gioffredi – 45, and Jameson Roller – 49. Kyle Sharp did a good job holding his score together after starting with a bogey on the first hole. He went on to make two birdies, including one on the finishing hole to post a 4 over par 41. This past week Laguna had a pair of non-league matches facing Aliso Niguel and Sage Hill. League play resumes on Tuesday, March 21, with Costa Mesa.
