Kyle Sharp won the 2017 Orange Coast League individual title with a 156 in two rounds at Skylinks in Long Beach on Wednesday, May 3. Chase Gioffredi tied Sharp and forced a playoff that handed the crown to Kyle when Chase bogied the second hole in the playoff.
Dante Fornaro finshed fourth at 162, Gus Morch was sixth at 169 and Miles Stripling tenth at 194.
On Monday, May 5, the top four league meet finishers participated in the Southern Section CIF Southern Division individual championships on the Skylinks course. Calvary’s Chase Nelson finished tied for 30th at 75, Kyle Sharp finished tied for 36th with a 76, Chase Gioffreidi shot 87 (104th) and Dante Fornaro a 89 (108th) out of the 117 golfers participating. Tyler Schafer from Long Beach Wilson won the event with a 68.
