Breakers Lose in Semi’s, But Advance to State Regionals

Laguna’s Division 2 playoff run ended on Wednesday, Nov. 12 at Murrieta Valley with a 12-6 loss to the Nighthawks. Breakers narrow loss in three sets could have gone either way in the match. Breakers’ doubles team of Ashley Shelton and Madeline Loomis won 6-2, 6-4, 6-3 for three of the Breakers six points.

Laguna advanced to the third annual state CIF Southern California Regional Championships this week joining the top four SS CIF Division 1 and 2 teams plus the top teams from Los Angeles, Central California, and San Diego sections. Laguna played at Palisades last Tuesday, Nov. 11.
