Louise Buckley, a longtime activist with Laguna Beach Seniors, celebrated her 90th birthday belatedly with the Laguna Beach Exchange Club recently.
Club President Connie Burlin announced a second reason to celebrate Buckley, selected as patriot of the year for the 2012 parade by the Laguna Beach Patriots’ Day Parade committee.
Buckley received cards and good wishes. With help from club members Sande St. John and Christina Vickers, she was able to blow out the birthday-cake candles.
Buckley celebrated her actual birthday with family in Hawaii.
