Using Laguna Beach as their playground, the Boys & Girls Club’s canyon branch offered a summer enrichment program with a multi-faceted curriculum.
Members of the seven-year-old Adventure Club had a chance to hike, kayak, rock climb, go bike riding, and participate in a four day Catalina Island camping trip.
The club also took weekly excursions to the high school pool, Diver’s Cove beach, and local amusement parks. In the club gym, members played team sports and learned new ones. They also explored other interests such as writing, research and presentation skills, took field trips to the local art festivals, created individual short films, did yoga and learned from weekly live musical guests.
