Four adults who agreed to buy alcohol for minors received misdemeanor citations during an undercover program that targeted eight Laguna Beach establishments Saturday, March 12, police said.
A total of 60 adults were asked to buy alcohol for two minors working with police and acting as decoys.
Court costs and fees for furnishing alcohol to a minor can cost $1,000, Sgt. Tim Kleiser said.
Monday, March 7

Vehicle burglary. 2600 block of Solana way. 7:32 a.m. A purse and wallet were taken from a car where a window was smashed.
Traffic collision. Agate St. 9 a.m. A motorcyclist suffered non life-threatening injuries when struck by a southbound vehicle turning left from Coast Highway.
Vehicle burglary. 300 block of Broadway St. 9:32 a.m. Binoculars and other items valued at $1800 were taken.

Drug activity. N. Coast Hwy. 1:43 p.m. A man seen hugging and licking parking meters was issued a citation for an outstanding warrant but released at the scene.

Burglary. 800 block of Glenneyre St. 7:38 a.m. $194 in cash and a laundry bag was discovered missing.
Extortion. 2600 block of Victoria Dr. 11:21 a.m. A woman reports that a person she is indebted to has threatened to write unflattering posts online.
Saturday, March 12
Traffic collision. Coast Hwy. 12:34 a.m. A 60-year-old San Diego woman was arrested for DUI in the wake of a two-car collision.
Speed race. 31100 Coast Hwy. 2:46 a.m. A 24-year-old Rancho Cucamonga man was cited for DUI.
Pedestrian stop. 300 block of Broadway St. 3:02 a.m. Kalani Henry Machado, 46, of Lake Forest, contacted for sleeping in public, was arrested for several outstanding warrants.
Reckless driving. Laguna Canyon Rd. 2:22 p.m. A 53-year-old Nevada driver, who left a gun on the rear passenger seat, was cited for reckless driving but possessed a concealed weapons permit.
Brandish weapon. 1400 block of S. Coast Hwy. 3:55 p.m. A man who was brandishing a knife was detained for a mental health evaluation.

DUI. Laguna Canyon Rd. 8:25 p.m. A 39-year-old Dana Point man was cited for DUI.
Fraud. 1400 block of S. Coast Hwy. 9:30 p.m. A customer attempted to purchase items with a fake $100 bill.
Monday, March 14
Traffic stop. Laguna Ave. 1:25 a.m. A 41-year-old Laguna Beach woman was arrested for suspicion of DUI and drug possession. Police allegedly found 1.46 grams of methamphetamine in a baggy in the driver’s jacket pocket, which she claims were drugs seized from a friend during an intervention.
