Laguna’s spring break April 17-21 is out of step with the rest of the Orange Coast League. The holiday scheduling impacts Laguna sports teams such as boys volleyball, scheduled to play four league games in succession April 24-27 followed by the Redondo Union tournament Friday and Saturday, April 28-29. The baseball team is playing what is traditionally a spring break tournament during a school week and league games during their “break” week.
Next season the Newport Mesa schools are out of step, which should make April schedules less chaotic.
