Laguna Beach’s amateur ham radio operators, Hams, will be holding a demonstration this weekend in celebration of Field Day, an event sponsored by the American Radio Relay League. Ham operation John Kountz invites all to participate.
From 11 a.m. Saturday, June 23, until 11 a.m. Sunday, June 24, Hams will be showcasing emergency techniques on the fire road between Moulton Meadows and Top of the World, operating under Laguna’s call sign, “N6L.”
The local team will provide the radio equipment for Field Day, Laguna Beach’s 14th year of participation.
