Throughout October, Laguna Beach Firefighters will be visiting area schools and participating in emergency drills to help educate the community on fire safety and emergency preparedness.
The public is invited to come by and visit any of the city’s four fire stations on Saturday, Oct. 13, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. to tour the station, meet local firefighters, see the fire engines, as well as ask any questions about how to be fire safe.
The following week, on Thursday, Oct. 18, public schools and local fire departments will stage a mass mock earthquake drill, the Great Shake Out.
