The Laguna Beach Film Society presents “I Am I,” a new indie film written and directed by Jocelyn Towne, at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 21, at South Coast Cinema.

The film explores the question: Who would you be, if your memory could only travel backwards in time? Suffering from a form of retrograde amnesia, Rachael Warren’s father, who she meets for the first time at her mother’s funeral, thinks he’s 34 years old and mistakes her for her mother.  In order to get to know him, Rachael plays along with his delusions and allows him to court her.  Tickets are $10 at the door, $5 for students and $8 presale at www.LagunaArtMuseum.org/LBFS. Or, for $20, enjoy the film along with a pre-film reception with appetizers and wine at 6 p.m. at Laguna Art Museum.
