Girls Set New Relay Records

Two school records were set in the prelims held on Thursday, May 10, at the Riverside Aquatic complex with the

Laguna girls 200 yard free relay breaking the school record with a 1:36.58 led by Kasey Karkoska, Kyla Whitelock, Molly Renner, and Ella Judd.

The old record was 1:38.37 set in 2009by Annika Dries, Chelsea Wild, Taylor Dodson, and Andrea Reigel.

Later that evening, Ella Judd, Kyla Whitelock, Molly Renner, Kasey Karkoska came back to set the 400 freestyle relay record with a time of 3:32.60.The old record set last year was3:34.97 with Ella Judd, Kyla Whitelock, Bella Baldridge, and Kasey Karkoska. In the finals on Saturday, the times were just shy of the Thursday records with the 200 free relay finishing third and the 400 free relay fifth.

In individual races: 200 free, Ella Judd 1:54.1, 14th; 50 free, Kyla Whitelock, 24.38, 13th; 100 butterfly, Kasey Karkoska, 55.91, 4th ,  Ell Judd, 59.85 – 18th; 100 free, Kyla Whitelock, 54.26, 13th; 100 backstroke, Kasey Karksoka, 56.6, 8th.
