After dominating University Park at home, the Laguna Breakers 10 & under junior tennis team went head to head with Tustin Hills Racquet Club last month.
The finals, played at Irvine’s Heritage Park, were closely contested. Doubles pair William Michelson and Pete Szakacs closed out their set 6-3 to result in a 41-39 match win for Laguna Breakers. In addition both Michelson and Szakacs won their singles matches 6-1. Francis Pillsbury went 5-6 in a tiebreak and Lola Fisher posted a 6-4, making the third doubles win for the Breakers, placing them up by one game after the six singles sets and down by one game at the completion of two of the doubles.
