Local resident and vocalist Maureen O’Sullivan sings jazz standards from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 5, at Mozambique restaurant, 1740 S Coast Highway.
She is in great company with established accompanists Ron Kobayashi, Llew Mathews, Doug Ross and Yasmin Wevers.
Museum Hosts Sax Quartet Performance
Laguna Beach Live! presents The City of Angels Saxophone Quartet on Thursday, Jan. 9, from 7 to 8 p.m. at the Laguna Art Museum.
Their music is a combination of jazz and classical works, some arranged by members of the group and others original works for saxophone quartet.
The quartet coalesced in 1990 at Cal State Northbridge and features Bill Wilson, Sean Stackpoole, Cindy Swanson and Matt Germaine.
Live! at the Museum takes place the second Thursday of each month at 307 Cliff Dr. The concerts are free to museum members.
