Laguna Beach freshman Brady White, 14, led the charge to first place for the 2018 Over the Hump mountain bike race series, which concluded on Tuesday, Aug. 28.
White raced in the 12-15 year division during this 12-race summer series, competing from May to August against other high school students from San Clemente High, Trabuco Hills MTB, Foothill MTB, and Corona Composite. White’s parents said his continuous training and love of riding helped him achieve the win.
Students with an interest in joining the middle school and high school mountain biking team can learn more at lagunabeachmtb.org. Training for the 2018-2019 season begins October and riders of all skill levels are welcome.
