Laguna Beach’s AYSO girls under 12 team, LB United, won a hard fought victory played in mud and rain against the Royal Pains.
The game finished with a 0-0 tie and went into overtime. In the final seconds of the four-on-four overtime match, the undefeated LB United made the final winning goal last month. Lauren McDonnell nudged the ball into the net with her foot because the mud was so thick the ball would barely roll. The goal sealed the winning season for LB United, who will represent Laguna in the AYSO regional playoffs this month.
