Laguna Outreach for Community Arts (LOCA) has announced the appointment of Bonnie Macmillan as its first executive director, thanks to a grant of $3,500, from the Laguna Beach Community Foundation that helped to create this position.
Macmillan, who previously served as LOCA board member and president, has 20 years of non-profit experience. Her passion for arts education will drive her leadership in grant writing and directing events and activities of the organization. “I look forward to adding a new dimension in my involvement with LOCA,” said Macmillan, who plans to focus on outreach, the development of corporate sponsorships, and other funding.
LOCA is celebrating its 19th year of providing visual arts education services throughout Laguna Beach. Programs include monthly workshops available to the public, as well as programs in local schools and community centers.
