Impact Giving, an Orange County women’s collective giving organization, distributed six checks totaling $130,000 at its third annual grant awards event last week.
Recipients included three local and three international nonprofit organizations working to solve social problems. The three local organizations granted:

• Families Forward – $30,000 to help families overcome homelessness and attain long-term self-sufficiency by providing housing, financial education and case management to at-risk families in Orange County.
• OC Child Abuse Prevention – $10,000 to work with 70 at-risk Orange County families by focusing on positive parenting practices in an effort to decrease child abuse and domestic violence.
