Tri-chord chanting will begin and end each day of the Sacred Tibetan Arts tour by Drepung Gomang Monks of southern India, who are returning to Neighborhood Congregational Church in Laguna Beach beginning next week.

At 10 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 21, the visit begins with an opening ceremony and the drawing of the wisdom mandala, which continues all week. The monks will hold talks at 4 and 7 p.m.

Wednesday, Oct. 22, offers an introduction to Buddhist Dharma at 4 and a fire ceremony at 7 p.m.

Thursday, Oct. 23, a talk on Four Noble Truths at 4 p.m.

Friday, Oct. 24, 7 p.m., a cultural pageant featuring prayer, dance and chanting.

Saturday, Oct. 25, 7 p.m., monks prepare and serve a community meal in support of their monastery and ministry. A donation of $15 is suggested.

On Sunday, Oct. 26, the 10 a.m. service is followed by the dissolution of the mandala and a procession from 340 St. Ann’s Dr. to the ocean.
